I simply cannot believe the sheer *number* of days that have been in this week… it feels like this week has just been going on…and on…and on…
Fortunately, I know that there’s just one more day left…*sigh*
I think I’m going to order pizza tonight, and pay for it with a check that won’t hit the bank until Tuesday (payday, FINALLY). I’ve had Tilapia the last couple of nights because it’s a quick fix, for sure.
I wish I had a life that was a bit more interesting to write about, but I’m afraid I don’t at the moment… Mostly, It’s been an endless round of ‘get up, go to work, come home, and (tinker with airsoft/play on the computer), go to bed, lather, rinse, repeat.
I saw Meg’s personal ad last night… Looks pretty good. Need to help her get a better picture, though…and more of them. (Hey, just because *I* can’t provide her the tremendous levels of happiness that she deserves doesn’t mean I don’t want her to have them!) It’s kinda weird seeing her through those eyes, y’know? I mean, this is someone that I spent 3 and a half years of my life with, and am deeply saddened that, in the end, couldn’t make it work with. Her profile just seems so…*flat*…compared to that wonderful, awesome person I know her to be…
In other (more emotionally unavailable) news, there are a couple of games coming out that I’m really looking forward to.
GTR – I found a link to the Press Demo, and have been addicted all week. This is flat out *the* most realistic racing game I’ve ever played. I *seriously* need to get a wheel for it by the time it hits the shelves… =)
The Matrix Online: Heh…It’s the 4th chapter in the Movie Trilogy. ‘Nuff said.
I’m also trying to download the ISO for Jane’s Naval Command. 88.3% there, and now it’s stalled for the last 2 days…*sigh* Maybe it’ll be done by the time I get home. (yeah, that’s what I thought yesterday, and the day before…) Two of the guys in the Iron Wolves are playing it, and I really wanted to buy it when it came out (being a Harpoon fan from back in the day when it was a Table Top game by GDW), but could never afford it…then Jane’s went under, and they stopped their multiplayer service, so it became not an issue… I guess that (much like Falcon4) there’s a pretty sizeable dedicated group of players who have hacked and cracked all kinds of upgrades and patches and whatnot into the game to keep it modern, and fix stupid bugs/features (like patching the game so that the ships use *every* available battery to shoot down an incoming missile, not just one battery.) Sounds interesting.
Welp, time to go for the evening…*finally*
Oh, and Trent? I like your current Icon best, too. =)
G’night!
