Today’s Food

Back on Weight Watchers. I started yesterday in earnest. I’m still trying to decide if I want to keep this public, put it Friends-Only, or make a WW-only Friends List…
The deciding point is that it’s mind numbingly boring information, and I have no problem being public about what I eat – perhaps it’ll inspire someone to take that step, who knows…
On the other hand, it *is* mind numbingly boring information, and I don’t want to bore people so badly that they unfriend me simply so they can stop wondering where they left their ball peen hammer…

I think I’ll create a *NO* WW info filter. If I bore you, leave a comment, and I’ll add you to it, so you’ll see all of the other drivel I write, but not the food stuff. 🙂
Fair nuff?

Anyway…Today:
Kickstart 7:30am: 12oz Diet Mountain Dew on the way to work.
Breakfast 8:30am: Cantina Breakfast Burrito. (I’ll figure it out later. It’s probably in the 12 point range…)
1/2c cooked Chicken
1/2c scrambled eggs
1/2c boiled potatoes
2 tbsp hot salsa
2 tbsp mild salsa
12″ tortilla

Oh, and I didn’t manage to stay under budget last night, and I’m double not happy about that, because it wasn’t all that good.
We went to Val’s favorite mexican place (Los Nogales around 8900 N. Washington St.), and I had a plate…
Taco: The Taco looked like the shell came from the Old El Paso Aisle in the supermarket, and had a little beef in the bottom, then a LOT of lettuce and a wisp of tomato on it. Taco Bell makes a better Taco. (call it 6 points anyway)
I can’t remember what this was, but it was the only thing that was decent. The inside was filled with a fairly spicy meat, and the outside had a good cornmeal texture, and was slightly sweet.
Chile Relleno: SUCKED. (and that’s why I got the plate that I did…) the stem looked *GREY* to me, and the rest didn’t look all that good either. No filling to speak of. At least I’m only grossed out by it, and not sick.
An enchilada that was so covered in red sauce, I never did actually see it, but it wasn’t half bad.
Whaddya want for $6.95, though?
(Honestly, the food there is CHEAAAAP – most dinner items are all of $4.95.)

Last weekend, we went to see the Aspen trees. We went up I-70 to Georgetown, over Guanella Pass, then back down US285 to Lakewood.
That’s secondary to my mentioning that we had dinner that night at Hacienda Colorado.
WAY better (though twice as expensive) as Los Nogales
