I had a different relationship with my mouse, too.
It became an abusive, co-dependent relationship. My mouse started to drink and I started coming home very late at night, smelling like ChromeOS.

I am slowly getting used to Windows 8. One thing I am noticing is that I have a different relationship with my mouse.

I don't think the $250 Chromebook could have been better timed. Chrome OS's simplicity becomes a standout feature in the light of Win8.
So far I am only hating that the "FREE DOWNLOAD" of media center… is not instantaneous in fact they promise to setup up within 24 hours !! That leaves me with nearly 2 TB of unwatchable shows on my hard drive.
But I am using a touchpad built into my keyboard so swiping from side to side helps. Along with using Windows+X key combination and alt-tabing.
I'll keep my relationship with my keyboard unless I'm doing video out on my Android.
I'm really enjoying 8 so far.
Although I'm probably getting that new Chromebook soon, I like Windows 8. People have told me it's too complicated to go to… but so is learning anything new compared with staying on the old crap. The CP on my laptop has motivated it to boot faster. I can't hate on that.
Who needs a mouse anyways?
I'd be touching the screen with those icons. That's me.
I just got Win 7 working on a computer…frak getting a new operating system that isn't built for standard mouse/keyboards. If it wasn't for the amount of compatibility issues I'd have with recent software I'd still be using XP.
