It is an acronym not intended to be said as a word, it is a G -I -F anyone doing it any other way is clearly in the wrong.

Defiantly GIF. One of the few acronyms I say like a work. Cause "gooie" for GUI just pisses me off.
I do say "gooey" although I say S-Q-L but my IT roommate calls it "sequel."
I like SQL over sequel but it doesn't bother me like gooey….
