The new layout is cluttered, busy and fucking painful for me to look at. It's overstimulating, and awful.
Nevermind that Facebook already walked back their two column layout based on user feedback.
My belief is that, in this case, anyway, Google has failed to learn from a competitor's error in judgement.

I'm keeping my bitching to a minimum this time. I'm sure the layout will grow on me and tweaks will be made.
I liked the whitespace. It made me look great in web cam pictures. Best lighting ever.
I think this is like a Pinterest board or something. It's not bad, I mean I'm not bitching. In fact, the updates I've seen today – G+, Music, and Now – are actually kinda nice. i most definitely love the updates to Now and Music, so shrug
I'm fairly okay with this, I guess.
It'll grow on me, I'm sure.
