Euro Truck Simulator 2 is quite a bit more enjoyable than it would appear to be on the surface.
Doubly so when you get it for 50% off on a Steam Sale.
The best feature is the in-game/in-truck radio, that allows you to tune in to 140+ radio stations from around Europe. I was sad when one of the two .RU stations was playing stuff like 3 Doors Down and Papa Roach. On the other hand, OUI Radio from Paris was everything awesome thing you could imagine it to be, and more.

Help me understand: this simulates driving an 18-wheeler / big rig? Do you just go from place to place, or is there some business element as well?
I have spotify and various other internet radio stations for music. And I can play that in any game.
Does it have any other redeeming factors?
Keep on trucking 😉 I used to love these real world Sims. If it's like the ones I used to play, you basically just transport goods from a-b within a set time etc. It sounds boring, but it is pretty engrossing once you get into it. Especially on a tri screen setup Lol. 10-4 good buddy…..
Yep, you just roll around a reduced-scale europe moving goods from place to place.
It looks like the dumbest game in the history of gaming, but it's surprisingly engrossing.
Metacritic is for shit on it's own, but it's a good portal to other reviews – which are mostly positive.
