  1. Actually, I didn't like it.
    * Parking sucks ass. I drove around for 10 minutes trying to find an actual parking lot, and got lucky enough to find a single open spot on the street literally 4 seconds before I turned around to go home. ("Fuck it. If I don't find something by the time I get to the end of the block, I'm going home." reaches mid block, finds parking) "It was meant to be, my precious…"

    * Too dark. I've been in some dim places, but man, this place is DARK – especially for a Trivia night.

    * We both had the greek burger. I'm fond enough of rare meat, but the lamb "burger patty" portion of the burger was cold in the middle, despite only being perhaps 1/4" thick. The tzatziki, while delicious, is spread on the bottom bun, below the burger. Between the tzatziki and the juices coming off the ultra rare meat, the bottom bun turns into a soggy, slimy, nasty, disgusting mess by the time you get to the second half of the burger. It's pretty sad when the best part of the burger you got is the top bun.

    On the upside,
The sound system is good (if a little bit on the loud side – but that's hardly a complaint considering how much we like The Irish Snug overall, and my ears are ringing slightly pretty consistently when we get outside), and, to be completely honest, despite it being her first "live fire" night, +Amanda Heersink is hands down the best quizmaster I've had in the 4 years I've been attending GWD events. Even better than Emilio who is my until-now favorite (because Emilio's taste in music sucks, and even with a scoring monkey, Emilio's quiz runs long every week).

  2. I agree on all those things Jon. It was way dark, I'm going to ask if there is any way to turn up the lights in the main area. The other side was a lot brighter.

I felt the sound was loud but again, that back room is listening on the same speaker (I think) so I had to turn it up.

I had the regular burger and it wasn't bad considering it was an hour old. I think just getting a hummus dip there would be the best option.

Parking is disgusting just like all of downtown, I have no solutions.

And thanks, I'm really glad you guys came! One of my goals is to make sure it ends after two hours because droning on does no one any favors.

  3. Next week, Ima just do Valet. Audrey paid $5 to park a block or so away (Logan and something, but I couldn't find the lot, and I got her text after I was already in the building. grins ), and it' $7 to park valet right out front. I can totes deal with that.

Also, the pita "chips" (which were really warm pita bread all hotted up just to the edge of turning crispy and 'chipy') and various things that Audrey got with them are out of this world
