Life is OK…
SWG is pissing me off… Oh, sure…lure me in, make it lots of fun, get me hooked, make me go buy a new video card, make me spend a whole weekend fighting with the new card to get decent performance out of it, make me reformat my HDD and downgrade to Win98SE in the process (because I can’t find my stupid Win2k disk), make the system unstable as hell in the process (because it’s Windows 98 Sucks, Eh?), then watch the game start having random CTDs….
But I’m still addicted…it’s SO much fun! I’m thinking about moving off of the Corbantis Server to Bloodfin…
Here’s why… Pretty cool stuff.
I think I’m going to grab a spare Win2k disk from work, then reformat and reinstall Win2K/drivers/SWG when I get home. I’m tired of the crashes and CTD’s, and I want my system stable like it was last week… fercryinoutloud.
Work today is really slow… Babysitting Mode is good for a Saturday when Brent’s not around… In stark comparison to yesterday… I did so much running around that I got a blister on my right foot!
11:30-12:30 – replaced 3 bulbs in the clarity monitors in the Terminal. Despite being the closest we have to being “open air”, it still gets warm in the space betweent he two banks… 🙁
12:40 (right after I walked in the office door) LED’s blank over the ticket counters from America West to Delta…go *back* to the terminal to fix it.
1:30 American Airline’s Admiral’s club FIDS screen is messing up (showing both arrivals and departures where there should only be departures)
1:35 American Airlines reports that *all* of their FIDS are messing up. Go check our equipment, make sure it’s all running good, then let them know they need to check with Tulsa.
2:10 Delta is having issues with their workstation… Can’t figure out what they’re trying to do (new user) so, I go BACK to the terminal and fix it. (it really just needed a restart).
2:55 Get back through security and walk A, B, and C concourses.
4:30 FINALLY get to sit down for any length of time… *sigh*
I was *SO* glad yesterday was over when it *finally* was.
