  1. +Jonathon Barton Coding doesn't seem to mean what it used to. After I had written a few programs in machine code for the Z80, I moved on to assembler, Pascal, C and then a whole heap of other languages, including functional programming languages. That's coding.

    I'm not saying making web pages is a lesser activity, just that I don't call it coding. If other people do it's just another example of a meaning changing I suppose.

  2. In the event of some spare time turning up before the next new language sensation, I'll give it a good looking at. I suppose using a browser is only slightly different from all these cissy IDEs I keep using. [Wanders off, muttering about hex editors for machine code.]
