On the flip side, there are plenty of opportunities to get fit, if you choose to exercise them (HA!). I've got friends who hike fourteeners pretty much ever weekend during the summer. Note, I said hike, not climb. =)
The one this past weekend was a 7 mile hike with about 3500' elevation climb. It's in the "Bring good shoes, a sandwich, a couple power bars, a liter of water, and some patience and you'll be fine" territory.
Still, felt like a fatty walking around downtown Denver. Love me some Oxford Hotel though
