Interesting weekend…
Friday, we had Pizza at work for lunch, courtesy of Les Berry. Robert Kastelitz (Coming from an IT tradition moreso than a Government tradition, bless his heart) sent everyone home at 2pm, “If your work environment permits it.” Well, Since Val and I carpool… 🙂
*Saturday*, I got off work at 2pm, and came home and dorked around on the computer a little bit… I’m *totally* groovin’ on this software called Celestia. Onlyyyy… I’m a guy that likes to make software do bad things…things it’s not meant to do.
So I’m using Celestia to create the Traveller Universe’s OTU (Official Traveller Universe – specifically, the Spinward Marches).
Muahahahaha!
Sunday, we went to Foley’s – they had a KILLER deal on bedsheets ($75 sheets for $20).
Sunday night, we discovered that we had a 20% off coupon for Foley’s…that was good on top of already sale-price items! We also barbequed some chicken and corn…
Monday Afternoon, Val and I went *back* to Foley’s, bought a second set of sheets, a 16-piece set of pots and pans, and this adorable yellow and red resin kitty for the backyard.
Monday night, we saw fireworks at the Brighton Rec Center. We were *maybe* 100 yards from where they were launching them. I kinda wish we’d driven down to Colorado Springs and seen Seth’s show – because we could have been *RIGHT* there. 🙂 (My friend Seth is a licensed Pyrotechnician – and the Memorial Park show is the one he was running…) It was a good show, even if it wasn’t Seth’s. 🙂
Today, I’m writing in my LJ when I *SHOULD* be trying to finish writing the Star Catalog file for Celestia…. 🙂
