DENVER, November 20, 2005 – Northbound I-25 motorists who take the Lincoln/Broadway exit to downtown will notice a change on their commute next Wednesday morning. T-REX crews will open the new Lincoln/Broadway off-ramp from northbound I-25 overnight Tuesday, Nov. 22, requiring exiting motorists to be in the right lane sooner than which they are accustomed.

“As of Wednesday morning, northbound I-25 commuters will need to start merging into the right lane at the Downing Street Bridge if they want to take the Lincoln/Broadway exit,” said Joy Wasendorf, T-REX contractor spokesperson. “The new Lincoln/Broadway off-ramp will take motorists under the Washington Street on-ramp bridge, so drivers accustomed to getting in the right lane at the last minute might miss the off-ramp and will have to continue to the Alameda/Santa Fe exit,” Wasendorf added.

This new off-ramp alignment is designed to improve traffic flow by separating northbound motorists exiting at Lincoln/Broadway from those who will be merging onto northbound I-25 once the Washington Street on-ramp opens next year.
