RP/PvP? WTF M8!

I actually had a wonderful roleplay experience tonight, and I just thought I’d share it here for no apparent reason…

I’m on an RP/PvP WoW Server. The balance tends to lean toward Leet PvPers most of the time it seems…as a result, I like to make it known exactly what kind of player I am. I’m in a guild called <‘Roleplayer>. I see more spontaneous Roleplay than I did before I wore that particular guild tag…and I get Horde toons who stop…and I can almost feel their heads tilting like the RCA Victor Dog… *DURF? <Roleplayer>?*
Then they try to gank me, thinking that I must be highly squishy because I RP.
It’s great fun handing their buttocks back to them on a silver plate.

I was approached by a Gnome (what is it with Gnomes, exactly?) who said, “I bet ur gildmaster RPs alot, huh?”
“Pardon me?
“ur Gildmater, they RP all the tiem, amirite?”
“I’m sorry…what is this….’roleplay’ you speak of?”
“wat?”
“OH! That’s one of those games where you pretend to be an Orc or an Ogre, right? I know what you’re talking about now! I used to have this friend back when I was a teenager… She’d spend all her time sitting around a table with some other losers, rolling dice and pretending to be a “character”, like an Orc or a Troll or an Ogre…exploring caves and whatnot, instead of coming out drinking with the rest of us…”
“LOL”
“Yeah, then later, she got totally hooked on this other game…it was SOOO WEIRD… there wasn’t even any MAGIC… Everyone wore…suits…but they weren’t even suits of Armor…can you believe it?”
“*gasp* Nooo!”
“Yes! NOBODY wore any armor at all…they just had these characters that were, like…Lawyers and stuff…I think it was called…’Actuaries and Accountants’ or something like that. So bizzare. So…anyway, can I buy ye a beer, my Gnomish Friend?”

That encounter was just full of win.
