One of the things that I’ve come to realize about where I am at the moment, and how it doesn’t really jive well with where I want to be, is that I’m terrible about doing anything about it.
I had another dream last night, one that I can’t remember – it was just my subconcious stirring the pot again – and I woke up with the words “What have you done today to reach your goals?”
Today was instantly about reaching my goals. Thus far I’ve:
* Gotten the DRZ’s electrical system (mostly) back together in a reasonably solid, un-kluged way – the turn signals don’t work, but they don’t have to in Colorado.
* Took the bike for a little shakedown ride.
* Mowed the back yard, raked, grass in the bin to go out on Tuesday.
* Used Roundup on the weeds in the back yard (again – this is the 4th application)
* Did the laundry (again – I did it on Wednesday, too)
* Put clean sheets on the bed
* Made sure the catboxes were clean.
* Swept and mopped the kitchen floor.
* Watered the back yard (current) – Sure, it’s been watered 45 minutes every day this week, but it’s on the list of stuff for today, anyway.
* Fed and watered the pets (even the little things count)
* Went to the grocery store and bought stuff to make another awesome Paleo Pot Roast. That’s been in the slow cooker for 7 hours now.
* Made a trip to Autozone to get 10a fuses so I could finish working on the bike.
* Looked for a new rental.
* Snipped the mats out from behind Noel’s ears.
It’s just shy of 7pm and I feel like I’ve gotten a TON of stuff done today.
Damn. What’s gotten into you? I am SO impressed. Too often, I have the same goals for tomorrow that I had this morning! How did you hit upon the Paleo diet? I’m going to look it up just now, but I’m curious how you heard about it. Love you, Mom.
