I've spent the day preparing for #nanowrimo2012 .
* Spreadsheet set up to show words remaining, with word goals, finished
http://goo.gl/Y8m6A
This includes writing more on weekends and hardly at all on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so that we can continue to go to Trivia and Karaoke.
* Turned off all of my G+ circles except the new NaNo circle (that has -1200- 1447 people in it – not sure that's going to help with focus all that much!)
* Scrivener set up.

Now to figure out what the hell to write about…
Good luck…and have fun with it!
You're a WriMo?! And such an organized one…eesh no wonder I never make it lol
Good luck, Jon. You can do it!
I'm right there with you… I put everything on a non-internet-connected computer for the month so there are no distractions while I write.
I have no idea what you say..but good luck with it.
+Kenny Ward check it out: http://www.nanowrimo.org/
Good work. I thought I was the only spreadsheet person. I try to only write on weekdays, so my own spreadsheet helps me get a sense of things a bit better than the main site.
Hi Jonathan. Thanks for the "add". You seem to be on the right track – thumbs up and best of luck 🙂
A writing plan and no plot? Me too!
Yep. Last night I was doing some reading, and I read that there are 3 broad categories of plot.
Man vs. Man
Man vs. Self
Man vs. Environment
I think my plot will primarily by the fourth, unspoken, plot type.
Man vs. Panic
I know this is probably a stupid question, but how do you turn off all your circles but the NaNoWriMo one? Such a great idea!
In a computer (not phone) browser:
*PHASE ONE*
* Select HOME at the top left. You'll have one tab selected already, "ALL".
* Select the next tab in line.
* At the top right will appear a slider. "One Dot" to "Bell". Slide the slider to the "One Dot" Setting.
* Select each circle in turn (using the "More" Drop down as needed) and set them each to the "One Dot" Setting.
* Select your NaNoWriMo circle from the list.
* Set it to the "FOUR DOTS" setting.
*PHASE TWO*
* Select "CIRCLES" from the lefthand panel.
* Find your NaNoWriMo circle.
* Drag to the front of the list.
* Select your "These are the 5 people I absolutely want to keep in touch with" circle (or make one). Drag that to the second spot in the list.
*PHASE THREE*
* Select HOME again
* You now have 4 tabs at the top: ALL, NaNoWriMo, "My Peeps", and "MORE▼"
* Select your "My Peeps" Circle and set the slider to "FOUR DOTS"
Fin.
Oh, you darling man. Thank you!

It's a fair trade. =)
😀 I wish I could share your comment where you explain how to do this. I'm sure other NaNoWriMo bods would like to do the same thing. If you make a separate post at any point, be sure to send it directly to me and I'll share it on.
don't forget to actually write!
HA! Not counting the notes I imported into Scrivener, I'm at 6775 for the day.
