Note: This is a personal blog, and the only use of any of this is for me to go, "huh, Cool." on the rare occasion I think to go look at any of this stuff and realize that (based on the analytics) about 3 people per month still care what the internal dimensions of a 10 year old MINI Cooper S Clubman are...

Great write up Jonathon! My daughters and I had a similar experience over this holiday as well. . Driving around Clovis and Fresno capturing portals and taking over hostile ones.. It was more fun that I thought it would be.
I can't wait to play it with a partner to help navigate and plot out our actions!
So I take it that this game burns a lot of hydrocarbons heh. Just how does doing random gas guzzling activities like this make the world a better place? This game is not going to physically work as more people come into the fold.
+Drew Sowersby I live in American Suburbia because it has the right balance of access to "the market" and access to my job (I work at Denver International Airport, the 'front door' of which is essentially still 10 miles from anywhere…)
Of the six portals we visited last night, we created 5 of them, and put about 12 miles on the odometer doing so.
Many Downtown areas are already blanketed in portals, thanks to the walkability and population density they create.
I'm REAALLLY wishing Downtown Denver weren't so inconvenient today. =)
