Why? Changes to the Instagram TOS, without the barest privacy controls that are available to Facebook Users.

Preaching to the choir, here, I know…but you all have friends and family over there who may not realize the implications.

  1. A long time ago, I made the decision to not share or upload to any service my photos I was most proud of as a wanna-be photographer.

I am creating my own site to upload those too.

Most social media sites already "owned" anything and everything you wrote, posted or uploaded to their services, for years.

  2. +Kelly Hauenstein – In the year and change that I've been using Plus, I've lost touch with a few people who I had called friends (but it seems they really were only friends of convenience, eh?) and I've forged friendships with people who I have found are better friends and better people.

I even met my downstairs neighbor, in't that right,
    +Derrick Mims?

If you walk away from Facebook, some people will come along for the ride. Many won't. Those who don't, but are good friend material, will find ways to keep in touch, just like did back in 2007. =)
