*ACCOUNTABILITY UPDATE – DIET*

+Christy Daugherty's wedding is a month away, and +Audrey Lee and I made something of a resolution last night to "eat mostly green stuff" this month, such that we are assured that we will fit into the clothing we've selected (or, in her case, had selected, as this is the way these things go) for Christy and Ian's Special Day.

I am having a KFC Caesar Salad for lunch.
570 calories, which is a bit higher than my 500 goal, but not so much that it breaks the bank.

  1. You have to be careful with the wraps…. in most cases the tortilla it's way worse than bread. Just my 2 cents. I lost 35 pounds from March to May and have maintained since. I got pretty good at this kinda stuff!

  2. Yeah, of course. I stayed very disciplined. Everyday I woke up at the same time (due to my work schedule 430 am) I have a stationary bike that I rode 30 minutes daily as fast as I could go. (Some days up to 8.5 miles according to the meter but averaged 7.85) I removed alcohol, soda and only drank water and a product called spark for beverages. I make a smoothie for breakfast (I keep it under 350 calories), two hours later a snack (generally a piece of fruit), two hours later lunch (I usually have a small portion 4 oz protein, complex carb and veggie), 2 hours later veggies and hummus, and for dinner similar to lunch. Occasionally I have a sixth meal of veggies. From April to May I did a 24 day challenge (cleanse, addition of supplements, everything else the same) product can be found here https://www.advocare.com/130551599/default.aspx (I started distributing it because of how effective the product is.) I now take 2-3 days off from the bike but hike on those days, when I hike I take the following day off to recover (I pushed myself a bit hard a couple of weeks ago and tweeked my knee but all is good now). I weigh 203 now (the lightest I have weighed since I was 23/24 I turn 40 this year. I have gained a little since this post 3#s but this is in muscle mass.

It was some work, the hardest part was not the actual activity but the daily motivation to get up so early to do it.

  3. I will say the Advocare product has really boosted my metabolism as well. Not to sales pitch it as I sell it now, but I really can attest to how well it has worked for me.

  4. Ohhh, and I have started a bit of strength training now, but I am still needing to add more. Mostly sit ups and push ups. I need to get kettle balls or something I can do at home.
