Oh, and portals won't magically appear – which is why I've submitted about 60 of them, 26 of which have been approved and gone live, with another 20 that are in the pipeline.
I know +Robert Andersen has also been very active submitting portals… Northglenn and Thornton is WAY less Suburban Wasteland than they were last month.
Definitely makes it easier to play with more portals.
I've had 8 go live, only one not approved and another 12 still in process. Probably see duplicate for what +Jonathon Barton submitted but more likely to be approved.

Audball and I have a list of parks in Northglenn and Thornton we're working our way through. Got about 25 more to do, then I'm thinking about moving on to Westminster and Broomfield, then Commerce City and Brighton after that.
Definitely shoot anything and everything that's visually interesting. I had one go live that is the star in the play mat on the kid's playground at EB Rains. I took the picture from up on the jungle gym.
