It's up to each one of us to decide what we're notified (or, in this case, not notified) about.
The lesson is – if you're getting notified about stuff you don't want to be notified about, it's up to YOU to turn it off in YOUR settings, not chastise the people who are just trying to be social…on a social network!
When it comes to posts, you have the option of notifying your circles or not. I don't want to turn off all notifications because there are things that should be legitimately sent to me.
If events don't work in the same way (if you can't choose not to notify like you can with posts), then an apology for my other post is in order and was already given to Derik in another thread.
However, if it works like posts, I think it is the responsibility of the poster to not send notifications to broad audiences.
Looking at the pic, thats to not get notifications to your email or phone. Right? Would it stop notifications to the g+ app or site as well?
That's a good question, +AJ MJR . I haven't the slightest idea, unfortunately :/
+AJ MJR No it will not stop the notifications from coming through the site or g+ app, however it will not buzz your phone, you will just see you have new notification when you open the app or site.
