  1. I like their deathday song much more (birthday parody) or the song about paying taxes is a close tie….
most all of their songs are by far the weirdest death metal songs I've ever heard though….

  2. I had Spotify for a long time…even paid for it…
I found I wasn't using it except to sample (like this) a very occasional single song.

Mostly I use Pandora, because there are broad spectrums of music that I like, and none of the other services just go ahead and play suggested music in that genre right alongside music that I already know I like. It's all about the music discovery for me. =)

  3. Same Pandora just becomes too repeatative at times for me….guess 40+ hours of streaming can do that…but I hear a band I like on Pandora, I can shazzam it, then use that to search spotify…then the like artist take me on a rabbit hole of new music….I only really use the starred list and keep it downloaded on all my devices….works wonderfully for me….
They have a new radio feature on mobile that works as well as Pandora…just don't use it that much…but when I have its actually more a variety of bands than pandora spits out according to their lic terms….I love pandora but I really hate the ways they've tried to hide the fees frofrom the end user…limited streaming and now forced listens because of contracts they've signed….
Anyway…its worth a trail slot to try the new radio feature on spotify mobile if you haven't yet….

  4. I'm a cable cutter. The only TV I watch (lately) has been a Supernatural Binge, +Earl Baker.
+Bored AsHellion I listen to bizzarro stations, so I don't get much in the way of forced listens. Not many of those for MC Solaar, Toadsuck Symphony, Mariachi El Bronx, Doe Paoro, etc. =)

I'm going to give Spotify another whirl, now that you say they have a music discovery-like option.

  5. Pandora, Ad-Free on my phone: $36/year
Spotify, Ad-Free on my phone: $119.88/year

The shootout lasted all of 38 seconds.
Pandora can suck quite a lot (and it sucks only a little…) for 1/3 the price.

  6. Lol, I can see why. I like them both, and spotify let's me listen offline, so I can listen in the mountains. Guess I should have mentioned I have decades worth of mp3 that I barely use anymore, but have two Google music accounts filled to the free limit

  7. No they just did it under a new project…guess pandora owns the music genome project…anyway http://www.music-map.com is basically how pandora finds new music for you based on similar artist…you'll find more artist with this since it isn't restricted by listening fees…
