In other news, if you go to your profile at SteamPowered.com, Valve will show you how much you've spent over time.
YIKES
I've spent $1,678.90 on 100 titles since February 15, 2008.
Though once the sticker shock wore off, I haven't done too bad for myself.
$17.00 per title, on average.
$0.84 per day.
984 hours (48 minutes per day) played
34 titles I haven't played yet.
2 that won't run because they're too old (The original GTA is one).
$1.12 per hour spent for the games that I have played so far.
$351 spent giving 12 gifts – $29.25 each.
A third of that was spent getting +Audrey Lee most of the Sims 3 set during the 2012 Winter Sale, and I spent about the same amount on myself at the same time. sheepish grin
I played a LOT of Sims 3 last winter. So much so that it only cost me $0.84/hour…
All in all, gaming seems like a form of entertainment that is a good value proposition. By way of comparison, if "Going to the movies" held the same value proposition, then going to see The Marvel MegaMovie Marathon (The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor in 3D, Captain America in 3D, The Avengers in 3D) last May would have cost $13.89…
I've got over 200 games on Steam. That's in addition to over 100+ console games this generation alone.
I have an expensive habit. -_-
Nice numbers.
Shut up and play.
When I tell people how much I spend they ask why. I give them the time to dollar speech as well. It is all about having fun and doing what you like.
I miss my steam 🙁 ah fuck u ps3
