Dear Google+ Team

#CoverPhoto  can go die in a fire.
Here's why…
This is my "ancient" (2007) 1600×1200 monitor

This is my "bigger" 1920×1080 monitor

EVERY Profile looks like this to me.

This is not About +Jonathon Barton anymore.
This is About whatever cheezy picture I can pirate off the internet and slap up there.
All the information anyone would care about is gone – it's all below the fold, and I can't turn this off. I can't even choose to have NO photo anymore.

#coverphoto  can go die in a fire.

  1. I find this ironic after years of yelling at forumers their sigs were too big and to trim'em or I'd remove them.

Personally, I like being able to find a picture that fits but that's just my taste meets their crop.

  2. When you arrive on someone's profile, it only shows half the cover photo unless you scroll up. I'm assuming that's what you did.

Also, come on man. It's hard to scroll down and what we are "about" is more than just words.

  3. #CoverPhoto logistics its now or never google come on think out of the box..why cant our profile pics and cover tell astory interact within the grid, jeez louis I really need a corporate sponsor beyond my time it sucks that innovation is also running like hampsters…

Boo Hoo, it's HARD to scroll down, isn't it is not a valid defense for poor design choices, yet, in the same breath, you're implying that fully half of the breathtaking pictures that the G+ Photog community are going to use will wind up being unseen by people who don't…scroll UP to see them.

Which poor design choice are you defending, again? Or is it both?
