#CoverPhoto can go die in a fire.
Here's why…

EVERY Profile looks like this to me.
This is not About +Jonathon Barton anymore.
This is About whatever cheezy picture I can pirate off the internet and slap up there.
All the information anyone would care about is gone – it's all below the fold, and I can't turn this off. I can't even choose to have NO photo anymore.
#coverphoto can go die in a fire.
^ That, exactly.
#CoverPhoto replies; if you loved me then, like you loved me before go sit on it right.
#NewRule -No making up stuff over bigger unless it's beyond.
smaller screens see things differently

easy fix, make an image with all your information on it… above fold, done…
How about you just take a nice picture of you, and then it can be about you?
I find this ironic after years of yelling at forumers their sigs were too big and to trim'em or I'd remove them.
Personally, I like being able to find a picture that fits but that's just my taste meets their crop.
I feel it should just autosize to the image, why does it have to be the same all around?
+Johnathan Rodriguez You've not met me. There's a reason I use tiny photos… =)

Also, the screencap is from my ancient 1600×1200 monitor.
On the "Bigger" 1920×1080, there is no profile, only the picture.

I still like bretts idea the best, currently working on that.
When you arrive on someone's profile, it only shows half the cover photo unless you scroll up. I'm assuming that's what you did.
Also, come on man. It's hard to scroll down and what we are "about" is more than just words.
#CoverPhoto logistics its now or never google come on think out of the box..why cant our profile pics and cover tell astory interact within the grid, jeez louis I really need a corporate sponsor beyond my time it sucks that innovation is also running like hampsters…

Boo Hoo, it's HARD to scroll down, isn't it is not a valid defense for poor design choices, yet, in the same breath, you're implying that fully half of the breathtaking pictures that the G+ Photog community are going to use will wind up being unseen by people who don't…scroll UP to see them.
Which poor design choice are you defending, again? Or is it both?
+Jonathon Barton I think it's smart. If a person thinks the photo is great, they instinctively scroll up just to see if there's more. If they don't care, they see that there's info not too far below.
#changeitback The new cover photo is no good it detracts from the rest of the profile. Want to see a big image? Check my uploaded photos.
