I think my last iPhone, the iPhone 4, ended up costing me about $2000 over the years I spent on AT&T. No "best network" is worth that price discrepancy.

Why the Mobile Phone ‘Subsidy’ is a Myth – Datamation
There are no ‘subsidies.’ What carriers like AT&T, Sprint and Verizon call a ‘subsidy’ is actually a very high-interest loan.

  1. Bought my Nexus 4 at 380$ with tax and shipping, 70.97 every 30 days on +T-Mobile, unlimited.
Well, limited tethering and coverage, but they're where I need them and that's what matters.
Don't think I'll ever do it any other way again.

  2. I'm thinking about paying cash for a GSIV when they come out and making the switch.
One of my two lines at Sprint will be up in June, and the other two will be up a year after that.
