Now that name evokes memories of the OLD days…
Which name, the Doug Berry Part, or the Marc Miller part?
Marc Miller.
I was the first person to write and have published an adventure for the original Traveller, and a couple of years later, I was “ennobled” by Marc. Given a “Marquisate”, as I recall, as well as later a T-Shirt from one of the Imperial Assault Divisions. *Sigh*
Really? Which one? I’ll have to get a copy of it and ship it off to be signed… 🙂
Judges Guild published it; it was called Dra’k’ne Station. Later, I wrote a couple of things for FASA, including Action Aboard.
SEMPER FI !!!
DO OR DIE !!!! YARRRRRRR
Heh…
The thing that surprised me most reading through Ground Forces today is that, in the quest for Starflight, and the subsequent Interstellar Wars and domination of the First Imperium, it was the ROYAL Marines that imprinted their traditions on the forces of the conquered Imperium.
I mean, I always knew that, 3700 years into our fictional future, the Imperial Marine’s colors were Maroon and Black, but was quite surprised to learn that the Imperial Marines pronounce it “Lef-Tenant” and generally say “Aye Aye”, not “Yes, Sir”…
🙂
So, when you coming back to the Rocky Mountain Region? 🙂
Funny you should ask. Iv been very very seriously looking at moving back, probably to the Cheyenne area . Not sure WHEN exactly. probably after pennsic 😉
If I come back Ill have to fix my adrian record and also buy myself some airsoft gear it looks like ;)~
Pet!
Of course they’d choose Royal Marines. They held more territory for longer. Just common sense! 🙂
